ABSTRACT
The ideology, that ‘man’s life, body and mind’ are all given, remains one of the world’s universal moral standards that have lasted across time, periods and societies that histories will continue to tell, is quite obvious. It is an indisputable fact that man by nature, loves to explore many styles of living based on the reasons that he is an autonomous being whose right to freedom must be exercised without any infringement, restrictions and interferences from an external body . Hence, autonomy as canvassed by Mill has led many people into making various hasty decisions and taking to lifestyles which have raised moral issues. The truth remained that people who have little or no knowledge of the negative consequences of some of these decisions they hastily have indulged into, are mostly, victims who may have misapplied, misunderstood, or misused criteria given by Mill to permissively allow autonomy of any type. Therefore, this paper, argues, that while it is well aware of such psychosocial-social discrimination and stigma some of these people who have carried out some unethical acts, taken to some lifestyles that raise ethical issues may suffer, which of course are their reasons to do what they have done, and the tendency of hiding under such ethical body autonomy ideology, to cause harm to themselves, another individual, society and nature. They should always allow nature to take its course. That is, that they should not allow themselves to fall into tendencies of replacing the creator. Therefore, all is called to respect nature and should never cause harm to himself either. It suffices to say that this essay tends to set right the philosophy of Individual Autonomy by J.S Mill and at the same time correct such errors emanating from it.
