ODE FOR AFRICAN MOTHERHOOD
Mothers! Indeed, are the visible god of our African homes.
Even you too can attest and testify that with me, that they really are.
Growing up as a child I learnt and also experienced that mothers are so lovely,
caring, selfless, courageous, faithful, patient, resilient, hardworking and diligent in all they do.
Hail!, bravo!, hail!, to the strong supporters and companions of our African homes.
Mothers! are always there to cuddle, protect, and guide their children.
They are always there to reprimand, console, pet, correct, and praise their children.
They always make out time to feed, teach, play and instruct their children on what to do.
They also pray and bless our handworks trusting in God to crown our little efforts with success.
Hail!, bravo!, hail! to the strong supporters and companions of our African homes.
Mothers! pull through in spite of the maltreatment, oppression and
Suppression meted out to some of them by their wicked male counterparts.
They remain resilient, courageous and hopeful to God for a better tomorrow.
Knowledgeable of the fact that challenges are not meant to defeat but to strengthen.
Hail!, bravo!, hail to the strong supporters and companions of our African homes.
Mothers! the Iroko tree of the family, moral and financial supporters.
The hardworking giant of the family, ever ready to solve the family’s need.
Our prayers for you mothers is ceaseless, our love for you is unfathomable.
Our support for you is unflinching, we pray for the best for you mothers on our bended knees.
Hail!, bravo!, hail!, to the strong supporters and companions of our African homes.
Indeed!, mothers are the strong supporters and companion of our African homes.
Yes!, they also serve as a good companion to our various African homes.
My prayer is that God will continue to strengthen, favor, and bless them in their different endeavors.
Therefore, let us in one voice say hail! and bravo! to our eligible resilient African mother for they are good.
Hail!, bravo!, hail!, to the strong supporters and companions of our African homes.
